Revealed at Red Bull’s Hangar-7 in Austria, AlphaTauri’s new car has come with a striking livery ahead of its 2020 campaign.

In attendance at the launch were drivers Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly, who were sporting revised teamwear. Named the AT01, the new car is to make its on-track debut at the Misano World Circuit in Italy, with Kvyat being the first to drive.

AlphaTauri will be looking to expand on the success from the previous season. Then Toro Rosso had their most successful year to date last year with one podium apiece for Gasly and Kvyat, as well as securing sixth in the constructors’ championship, which equalled their best season finish achieved in 2008.

Speaking with Formula1.com at the launch, Kvyat said “It’s a big thing going on here tonight. New name for the team, new livery. Of course technically, the team is going to continue the evolution from last year. I would say it was a strong year in terms of the team’s performance last year.

“Obviously the highlight was the podium for me in Germany and other strong races, so we just want to continue in this way for this year as well. There’s a lot of hard work behind the scenes and we’re hopeful for a good year.”

AlphaTauri will continue their close-working relationship with Red Bull Racing through the Red Bull Technology synergy.
