Dunlop Super2 Series champion Bryce Fullwood has finally been confirmed to join Walkinshaw Andretti United in 2020.

After five seasons in the development series, Fullwood claimed the title with MW Motorsport in a Nissan Altima. Fullwood claimed six wins and four pole positions on his way to the championship, winning with a round to spare.

With two years of PIRTEK Enduro Cup experience, 2020 will mark his full-time debut in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.

Born in Darwin, Fullwood will make history as the first driver from the Northern Territory to race in the series full-time.

Fullwood will carry backing from Mobil 1 and Middy’s Data & Electrical.

“I’m really excited to be joining the Walkinshaw Andretti United family for 2020, and can’t wait to get my rookie year under way,” Fullwood said.

“It’s a dream come true to join the main series, and something I’ve been working towards for a long time.

“From the moment I walked through the doors at WAU I felt at home, and everyone here has been more than welcoming.

“There’s no doubt there will be a lot to learn this year, but I’ve definitely got the right people around me, you can tell it’s a family here.

“It’s fantastic to be able to continue my relationship with Middy’s who have been an incredible supporter over my journey, and great to have the support of Mobil 1 who have such a loyal relationship with the Team.

“Now that the news is out there, I can’t wait to jump in the car at The Bend and kick it all off.”

Pre-season testing for the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship gets underway at The Bend Motorsport Park on 18 February before the season opener, the Adelaide 500.

“It’s really exciting to have Bryce join the team for the 2020 season,” Walkinshaw Andretti United Team Owner Ryan Walkinshaw said.

“He’s certainly someone we have watched closely over the recent years, and his outstanding season in 2019 shows the calibre of driver he is.

“It’s definitely going to be an exciting journey, Bryce is an outstanding driver, and person, and we are really excited by what we can achieve together going forward.

“We also welcome Middy’s Electrical to our family with open arms, and as always, thank Mobil 1 for their continued and unwavering support.”
