Confirmed: Hayden Paddon replaces Dani Sordo for Rally Australia at Hyundai

Hayden Paddon will contest the final two rounds of the FIA World Rally Championship, with the latest announcement from Hyundai Motorsport confirming the line up for Rally Australia.

Hyundai will run a three-car operation for the final round of the championship instead of the four-car line up they will run at the penultimate round at Rally Wales GB.

“The complexity of logistics for Australia meant that we were not able to run a four-car entry,” Team Principal Michel Nandan said.

“That would have been the ideal solution. We want to finish the season in the most competitive way possible, to lay ourselves strong foundations for next year. That’s our aim!”

Thierry Neuville and Andreas Mikkelsen will both contest the rally with Paddon alongside. The Kiwi has three consecutive top-six finishes in Australia. It is expected Paddon will have plenty of Kiwi support with the rally the closest to his own Rally New Zealand.
