WATCH: On-board the first GT3 laps of The Bend

The first laps of Australia's newest motor racing facility, The Bend Motorsport Park, have been cut today ahead of the Shannons Nationals opening round.

The circuit is set to be used this weekend for the first round of the CAMS Australian Endurance Championship, which will see Kiwi drivers Shane van Gisbergen, Craig Baird and Dan Gaunt all in action.

The first footage on-board the Fraser Ross McLaren 650S GT3 has been released by the Australian GT Championship showing the undulating nature of the circuit.

A two-part race will be held over Arpil 13-15 at the South Australian circuit, which is only an hours drive from Adelaide. In the GT configuration, the circuit is the longest in Australia at 7.77km, that will be the layout the Australian GT Championship will use.

The circuit is one of the largest permanent facilities in the world. A shorter International layout will likely be used for the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, which will race at the circuit in August.
