WATCH: Kiwi rebuilt Mazdaspeed March 84G at Goodwood

Mortimer Motorsport are a hidden jewel in the north of Auckland, building brilliant race cars and restoring others from an era gone by.


The 1984 Mazdaspeed March 84G is the latest in their cache of quality historic race cars to come out of their Matakana home.


The Group C prototype is the only one from Mazdaspeed to run a twin-turbocharged 13b rotary engine. The team gave the car its first public run at the world famous Goodwood Festival of Speed.


It remains arguably one of the most rare prototypes of its kind being the only twin-turbocharged race car Mazdaspeed ran.
