Hayden Paddon shows off new TCR car, confirms first on-track appearance

Hyundai New Zealand-backed driver Hayden Paddon has shown off his i30 N TCR car ahead of the first public appearance.


Paddon posted photos of the new car to social media, appearing in a similar colour scheme to that of his i20 AP4 rally car.


The i30 N TCR car will head north to Fieldays at Mystery Creek in the Waikato where it will part of a static display by Hyundai New Zealand. It’ll then head back south for a public displays on the Wednesday prior to the South Canterbury Rally in Timaru.


Paddon will then give the car its first public demonstration at the completion of the rally around Levels Raceway in Timaru.


The South Canterbury Rally takes place on 22 June and makes up round four of the Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship.


The Hyundai i30 N TCR car is the second in the country. The first car to arrive in New Zealand will race in the ENEOS North Island Endurance Series with Gene Rollinson and Jordan Michels in the three-hour race.
