Penrite Racing bring back gold livery for Bathurst 1000

For the second year in a row Penrite Racing will run revised red and gold liveries for the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

Like last year, Erebus Motorsport have retained the winning pairing of David Reynolds and Luke Youlden as well as young guns Anton de Pasquale and Will Brown.

Last year’s Bathurst 1000 was one to forget for the Melbourne-based team, who were in with a shot of winning the race until an untimely cramp for Reynolds. The sister car of de Pasquale and Brown finished 18 laps down in what was their first campaign at The Mountain.

While some of the regular PPG black base will remain, a lot of it will make way for additional touches of Metamark’s gold chrome.

“I think it looks fantastic, it reminds me a lot of last year,” Reynolds said. “I hope it’s a good omen, last year we had very good pace so hopefully we can start on a positive.”

The no. 9 and no. 99 entries by Penrite Racing will carry identical liveries dubbed “liquid gold” by the team.
