Chris Pither has joined the Supercars field at the BP Ultimate SuperTest, driving Team Sydney’s second Holden.
The 33-year-old Kiwi joins the team during today’s official pre-season test but remains yet to be officially confirmed by the team to race in 2020.
Pither won the 2018 Super2 Series and has become an experienced co-driver for many main-game teams.
Pither will join Team Sydney leader James Courtney, both sporting the Coca-Cola liveries that were unveiled earlier this month.
Courtney had a brief stint in the chassis Pither will run today during a shakedown event in Ipswich.
The team’s full-time driver to pair Courtney for 2020 will be announced shortly.
Today’s Bend test is a run-up to this weekend’s opening round in Adelaide for the Superloop 500 kicking off this Thursday with practice.
