Widely regarded as one of the most aggressive and technically gifted drivers in the world, DeNofa is a two-time Formula Drift Champion and long-standing factory Ford driver.

Known for his fearless driving style and ability to push the limits of car control, DeNofa has built a global reputation as both a fierce competitor and an influential figure in the evolution of modern drifting.

With multiple Formula Drift victories and championships to his name, DeNofa has played a major role in shaping the professional drift scene in the United States and beyond.

His presence at Drift GP marks a significant moment for New Zealand drifting competition, bringing world-class experience and international attention to the local stage.

“In late 2025, D1NZ was made an official championship within MotorSport New Zealand. Chelsea’s entry into Drift GP solidifies that we have a high calibre of driving not only within the country, but we have the best coming to New Zealand to battle it out,” said D1NZ Director James McManaway.

“We are excited to host Chelsea, and looking forward to seeing the future of New Zealand drifting taken up another notch.”

“It’s always a dream to have the opportunity to travel across the world to jump in a well-built car and compete against the best in that nation. The boys over at D1NZ are making it happen, and I can’t wait to have a blast figuring out how to kickass in an RHD S15 on a wildly fast track like Pukekohe,” said Denofa.

DeNofa will line up against New Zealand’s top drivers in what will be the most competitive and internationally significant drifting events in NZ to date.

His appearance builds on a growing list of international stars set to compete, reinforcing Drift GP’s commitment to delivering a world-class event in the Southern Hemisphere.

DeNofa will be taking the reins of JDM Racing’s new S15, housing a 2JZ making 850hp. The new liveries for the JDM Racing fleet will be unveiled at D1NZ Round 3 and Drift GP.

Drift GP takes place on Sunday 15 February 2026 at Pukekohe Park Raceway, following the D1NZ Round 3 on Friday 13 Feb – Saturday 14 February. Pre-purchase your tickets online: https://shop.d1nz.com/pages/2025-championship-r3-pukekohe-park-raceway
