The penultimate round of the 2025 GT4 Australia Series has wrapped up at The Bend Motorsport Park, with Tony Quinn Foundation Ambassador Chris White Jr back in action alongside Tony Quinn in his Toyota GR Supra.
White Jr is one of three young Kiwis to share the #101 Keltic Racing Toyota with Quinn this season, following on from Hugo Allan and Matt McCutcheon.

His first start came at Queensland Raceway in June, where the 18-year-old Kiwi showed strong pace in tricky conditions and capped off his first weekend racing in Australia with a Silver-Am Class podium. That effort earned him a second call-up, joining Quinn once again in South Australia as the season entered its final stages.
Practice saw Quinn complete the early laps before handing over to White Jr, who immediately showed strong pace. He lapped consistently in the 1:57s, with a best of 1:57.134, placing the car 10th overall and fifth in class.
He went quicker again in Pre-Qualifying, dipping into the 1:56s to finish eighth overall and fourth in class, within a second of the outright pace.
Qualifying was split into two sessions on Saturday.
White Jr was up first and delivered back-to-back 1:55.7s, ending the run 12th overall and seventh in class, just shy of the Top 10. Quinn then climbed aboard for the second session, recording a 2:02.3 to place 28th.
White Jr started Race 1 from the sixth row. A slow launch was soon offset by a bold move around the outside into Turn 1, but a mistake at Turn 5 dropped him back to where he began.
He regrouped quickly and engaged in a hard-fought battle with Cody Burcher’s BMW, eventually reclaiming the spot before also getting the better of the sister Supra of Daniel Frougas. He pitted from 10th on Lap 15 to hand over.
Quinn then took the wheel for the second half of the one-hour race. He held his ground early on before the faster cars from behind began to filter through, gradually pushing him down the order.
He brought the car home 26th at the flag, later classified 24th after post-race penalties.
Quinn opened Race 2 from 27th on the grid and made a strong start, climbing to 22nd on the opening lap. He kept the Supra in a steady rhythm over the opening laps before bringing it in on Lap 8 for the driver change.

White Jr rejoined in 23rd place and immediately went on the attack. Within two laps, he was into the Top 20, and by Lap 18, he had broken into the Top 15. Carrying front-running pace, he kept charging forward, climbing to ninth overall and fourth in class at the flag.
He finished right on the tail of Nash Morris’s Porsche after a storming recovery from the tail end of the field.
Though he wasn’t quite able to grab some more silverware this time around, White Jr once again showed real promise in only his second GT4 Australia appearance.
The season now heads to its finale at Hampton Downs on 31 October – 2 November, which takes place on home soil, with it still to be confirmed who will partner Quinn in the #101 for the last round.
