The conclusion to the 1986 Formula One season was an all-time classic. Heading into the weekend, Nigel Mansell was leading the championship over team-mate Nelson Piquet and defending champion Alain Prost. But while it was Mansell’s championship to lose, this race proved that anything can happen in Formula 1.
It was also the last race for 1980 champion Alan Jones and ’82 champion Keke Rosberg. Other drivers such as Patrick Tambay, Allen Berg, Huub Rothengatter, and Johnny Dumfries.
