Broc Feeney will start on pole for Supercars’ Race 14 in Darwin, while Jack Le Brocq will start in top spot in this evening’s Race 15. New Zealander Andre Heimgartner will start on the front row in both races after finishing second in both qualifying runs, missing pole in the first session by 0.098 seconds and by 0.0102 in the second.

Feeney’s pole-setting time for pole in Race 14 was a 1:06.1426, nearly two-tenths off the pole setting time of Cam Waters yesterday. Late runs saw the top six separated by 0.1603 seconds, with Shane van Gisbergen going third-quickest on his final run. The defending champion lines up on row two next to championship leader Brodie Kostecki.

Will Brown and James Golding lockout the third row, ahead of Nick Percat and Will Davison on row four. Bryce Fullwood and Todd Hazelwood round out the top 10, while Matt Payne starts 11th.

Waters was back on track following a monster effort from the Tickford crew, who worked until 3.00 am to repair his fire-damaged Mustang. He could only manage 24th in Race 14 qualifying, with James Courtney, Chaz Mostert, yesterday’s winner Mark Winterbottom, David Reynolds and Anton de Pasquale all in the bottom six.

Despite qualifying 15th for Race 14, Le Brocq bounced back to take pole in Race 15 as the field set their flying laps as the chequered flag flew.

While things were tight in first qualifying, they were even closer in this one, with less than one-tenth between the top six.

Heimgartner was second, while Winterbottom bounced back and will start third, next to Broc Feeney.

Brown and Davison lock out the third row, while Waters and De Pasquale both improved to qualify on the fourth row. Van Gisbergen and Pye round out the top ten, with Kostecki directly behind the Kiwi in 11th.

Mostert and Courtney were again the bottom two, while Payne could only manage 21st on his second time out.

Race 14 begins at 2.20 pm and Race 15 begins at 5.55 pm. Both will be shown live on Sky Sport 5.
