Repco’s latest annual Bringin’ the Bathurst TV ad has set the stage for much more than this year’s 1000-kilometre Great Race.
Motor racing fans across Australia and New Zealand were thrilled when the leading automotive parts and accessories brand launched its 2025 Bringin’ the Bathurst blockbuster ad, which delivered its highly anticipated catalogue of funny moments and ‘easter eggs’.

This year, however, it included an unexpected twist, and it related to ‘that’ moment following a crash between Greg Murphy and Marcos Ambrose at The Cutting during the 2005 Bathurst 1000.
“After 20 years, Repco decided these two racing legends needed to close the door on Supercars’ most famous argument,” said Mitch Wiley, Executive General Manager, Marketing at Repco.
“So we approached them both about appearing in our latest ‘Bringin’ the Bathurst TV ad and we were thrilled they were happy to be part of it.”
Alongside this year’s TV ad, Repco has also released a special short video dedicated to this surprise racing reunion.
This year’s Repco Bringin’ the Bathurst TV ad was shot at the famed Mount Panorama Circuit, Australia’s holy grail of motor racing, which was closed for recording under controlled conditions.
Along with Greg Murphy and Marcos Ambrose, the advert includes a big cast of motor racing stars from Australia and New Zealand, including Jim Richards, Matt Payne and reigning Bathurst 1000 winner, Todd Hazelwood.

Repco’s much-loved annual Bringin’ the Bathurst TV ads are more than just commercials – they are the Aussie brand’s high-octane celebration of motor racing and Australia’s legendary Great Race, delivered to fans across Australia and New Zealand by an enduring brand that lives and breathes their same passion.
