The Kiwis – Born to Fly story and its third instalment are set for a round of “premier” screenings next month in New Zealand on various Sky Sport NZ outlets, including Sky online platforms. Featuring Sky Sports’ massive coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics from Milan, making it a strong sporting feature for the viewing month ahead for any sports fan, and great exposure alongside such a high-profile event.
The latest edition will air in the month of February, followed by additional screenings with yet-to-be-confirmed dates later in the month, and then into March on Sky NZ, leading into the 2026 NTT INDYCAR season.

In addition, Kiwis – Born to Fly 3 is set to screen on other outlets that will be announced in the coming weeks, reaching a global audience through their followings.
This edition largely focuses on the legacy and the future. It searches for talent across many generations and follows those on the pathway in the sport, through to those who have played major roles in the sport. This includes not only those behind the wheel but also those who make the sport work at various levels, from management to engineering to the ever-valuable sponsors who aid these talents.
“I am delighted we have been able to capture so much in this edition; it’s certainly our most ambitious edition, ” commented Producer David Turner.
“There are still so many stories yet to tell, that’s for sure. When you sit with the likes of Earl Bamber and Brendon Hartley, you see the sheer passion in their eyes and a sense of pride and respect for our country as well. It’s a very cool feeling and makes me equally proud to make this series”. Kiwis – Born to Fly 3 was shot on locations in NZ and Laguna, Austin, Indianapolis, and Atlanta.
Edition 3 covers aspects of the sport from the Hampton Downs Academy to the world of single-seater racing at all levels in the U.S., and includes Kiwis in several classes of racing in the IMSA series, including the 2025 Porsche North America Champion Ryan Yardley and the newly knighted Sir Scott Dixon. Behind the series, we go inside one of the largest IMSA teams and the management role, as well as looking at technical roles in the sport, so there is something for everyone who’s a fan of the sport.
Lyn Paton, co-producer, noted today, “ I think this really highlights the passion and the years of dedication to the sport so many put into it, and hope our own passion comes out to reflect this. To show how well-regarded New Zealanders are is something we should all support, encourage, and be proud of.”
