In a major move, the NZ Porsche Series has just announced Michelin as its new tyre supplier for GT4 Cayman, GT3 Cup Car and 911 competitors.
The change to Michelin Tyres will align New Zealand with the worldwide Porsche racing supplier and is expected to attract a larger range of Cup Car and Cayman drivers to their popular series.

This is a new opportunity for ambitious drivers to add the internationally recognised title of MSNZ National Porsche Champion to their CV.
Competitors already holding the older spec tyres will be given a period to use their existing stocks. The Boxster and 944 championship will continue to run with the well-proven and trusted Nankang tyres as in previous seasons.
It is expected that there will also be an announcement shortly about extending the duration of some of the races in the coming season.
The new season will feature several one-day meetings that have proven highly popular with drivers previously.
The 2025/26 season commences at Manfeild on 23 October. The schedule is as follows:
- Round 1: Manfeild – 23-24 October (Practice Friday, Racing Saturday)
- Round 2: Hampton Downs – Next Gen – 31 Oct – 2 Nov (Practice Friday, Racing Sat & Sun)
- Round 3: Hampton Downs – Next Gen – 9-11 January (Practice Friday, Racing Sat & Sun)
- Round 4: Manfield – Next Gen – 27 Feb – 1 Mar (Practice Friday, Racing Sat & Sun)
- Round 5: Taupo – 27-28 Mar. (Practice Friday, Racing Sat)
- Round 6: Taupo – 24-25 Apr (Practice Friday, Racing Sat)
