Leaked images have appeared on the internet of the next generation BMW M2, revealing its design in full.
The model is expected to debut next month ahead of customer deliveries in the first half of next year.
Compared to the current 2 Series coupe, the M2 takes on a more squared design in terms of its two front kidney grilles and lower air intakes, as well as its headlights.
As with any M car, fenders have been pumped to house larger wheels while new side skirts complete the side profile.
At the rear, a more aggressive rear bumper sits over a quad exit exhaust.
The car is finished in M Zandvoort Blue which is said to be the M2’s flagship colour.
Under the bonnet sits the same 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder from the M3 an M4 that develops 338kW. It will be the last pure internal combustion engine model from BMW’s M division.
A choice of a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic is available.
An official reveal is expected in October.
