New Zealand’s Rianna O’Mera-Hunt and American driving partner Hannah Grisham claimed their maiden GT4 America victories in the season finale at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, more than doubling their season points tally with two wins at The Brickyard.

Grisham qualified as the best in the Am class for Sunday’s opener, driving the Heart of Racing Team’s Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 to a best lap of 1:31.515 to start fifth overall out of 32 entries.

Such was the pace of Grisham’s lap that the second-best Am car was 13th, a full eight places behind, and over half a second off the pace.

The American driver ran a tidy opening stint in Race 1 before passing over to O’Meara-Hunt to claim their first spot on victory lane in 2023.

O’Meara-Hunt then qualified third in class for this morning’s race, in 20th overall with a best lap of 1:31.366, a time that would have put her third overall on the grid in the day prior’s event.

The Kiwi started Race 2, and she remained in the podium places before passing over to Grisham to bring the race home.

A flying stint from the American brought the Aston Martin Vantage into contention, and she was able to get a move done on the No. 20 Carrus Callas Raceteam Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO of Terry Borcheller and Charlie Nicholas Shanny, which had started a whole ten positions ahead, on the final laps.

The results see O’Meara-Hunt and Grisham take away a full 50 points from the round, more than doubling their season total from before the event, which was 42 from 12 races.

They conclude their season deep in the top ten of the Am standings.
