PremiAir Racing has confirmed that New Zealand driver Chris Pither will be leaving the team at the end of the 2022 Supercars Championship season.

Pither has raced the #22 Coca-Cola Holden Commodore for the team throughout 2022 and will cap off his time with the team during the final two rounds at the Gold Coast and Adelaide.

The Kiwi has previously competed for Team Sydney which became PremiAir Racing at the start of this year as well as Garry Rogers Motorsport and Super Black Racing throughout his Supercars career.

In a statement from the team, Pither was thanked for being a part of the team’s first year in the Supercars Championship and wished him all the best for the future.

“It is no secret that things came together very quickly at the start of the 2022 season for us as a new team and Chris’ input with his knowledge of the car as we created a whole new program while jumping straight into events was much appreciated,” PremiAir Racing Team Boss, Peter Xiberras, said.

“While we may not be working together following the conclusion of the current season, we wish Chris all the best and look forward to racing him in the future.”
