Ryan Wood will take on one of endurance racing’s biggest challenges next month, with the New Zealander confirmed to make his Bathurst 12 Hour debut in a Ferrari 296 GT3.

The rising Supercars talent will compete in the Pro-Am class as part of an international partnership between European GT outfit Ziggo Sport Tempesta and Australian team Arise Racing GT, with the entry running under the Ziggo Sport Tempesta by ARGT banner.
Wood will share the Ferrari with Christopher Froggatt, Jonathan Hui and Italian racer Lorenzo Patrese.
Patrese, the son of former Formula 1 Grand Prix winner Riccardo Patrese, has already built a strong résumé in GT racing, including podium results in GT World Challenge Europe and experience across IMSA and major endurance events such as the Spa 24 Hour.
The line-up brings further depth through Hui’s extensive endurance background and Froggatt’s Pro-Am success in Europe, including a GT World Challenge title.
The Bathurst appearance follows a busy summer for Wood, who has been competing in the Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Trophy and recently added the Denny Hulme Memorial Trophy to his achievements.
“Super pumped to make my Bathurst 12 Hour debut, and equally excited to be joining the Ziggo Sport Tempesta by ARGT team in the beautiful Ferrari 296 GT3,” Wood said.
“It’s a bucket-list race and a bucket-list car to be driving, and getting the chance to take them on together feels incredibly special.
“Both teams have an incredibly successful history, and ARGT won the 12 Hour in Pro-Am last season, so the momentum heading into this event is huge.
“It’s the perfect platform to kickstart my 2026 season, and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel in a couple of weeks’ time.”
Froggatt is also looking forward to his first Bathurst outing.
“I’m incredibly excited to be heading to Mount Panorama for the Bathurst 12 Hour for the first time,” he said.
“It’s a circuit and an event that needs no introduction, and to finally have the opportunity to compete there is something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time.”
