Kiwi karting competitors Shaun Croskery, Thomas Batt, and Bryce Durney are slated to participate in the illustrious four-day CKNA Grand Nationals in Indiana, USA, this weekend, representing New Zealand in one of the world’s most recognized karting events.
With over 500 single-engine entries in the Briggs LO206 class, with drivers from four countries, this event stands as the largest four-stroke Karting event globally.
Bryce Durney’s participation has been backed by the New Zealand Importer Briggs Supply Company through a club day giveaway in partnership with KartSport New Zealand.
This initiative by Briggs Karting enabled Kiwi racers in the Briggs LO206 class to venture onto the international karting scene. Bryce will be competing in the Briggs Junior class with 80 entries currently.
Thomas Batt and Shaun Croskery will be making their mark in the Briggs Heavy Class and Briggs Masters class, respectively.
This will be the second and third time that they have raced in the US, the last time being in 2019 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. They are the current National Endurance Title Holders (along with Brent Melhop) in the LO206 Heavy class.
The New Zealand team will be racing for Margay Racing LLC, a revered name in the karting sphere with a legacy spanning over 50 years.
