Shane van Gisbergen has won this afternoons Race 25 at Sandown to further extend his championship lead. The Kiwi veteran built a solid lead over the field to come home by over seven seconds on Chaz Mostert, with Tim Brown rounding out the podium.
The Red Bull racer was the benefactor from the electrical fire which removed Will Davison from qualifying contention, with the Shell V-Power car being in close competition this weekend, only managing to come home in 15th.
Van Gisbergen led the majority of the race until coming in on Lap 21, having started well from pole and leading the field into Turn 1. Waters was forced wide here, with Mostert and Broc Feeney managing an overtake.
It was a relatively drama-free first half to the race, with the only incidents of note coming during the pit phase, with a Feeney stall seeing him tumble down the order and a loose wheel change for yesterday winner Will Davison requiring a further second stop.
Van Gisbergen built a massive 14 second lead of Waters before coming in for his stop, electing to stay out longer than the majority of the field, a strategy which has worked well for Red Bull Racing of late. He emerged 1.5 seconds ahead of Mostert with Reynolds a further 2 seconds back.
From here the Kiwi pulled away, putting 7.5 seconds on the field to come home for his 15th win of the season. Mostert was in clear air in second, with Brown managing an overtake on Reynolds with five laps to go to round out the podium spots.
It was a clean race which required no safety car interventions.
Andre Heimgartner finished a respectable sixth, whilst Chris Pither managed to place 16th.
Race 26 starts at 6.20pm this evening.
