Verstappen unveils livery for Supercar Eseries

Max Verstappen has revealed his Formula 1-inspired livery that he will use in his appearance in tonight’s BP Supercars All Stars Eseries event.

A keen sim racer, Verstappen will make a one-off appearance in tonight’s events at Silverstone and Catalunya, where he will squire off against Supercars regulars.

He will race a ZB Commodore sporting a livery similar to that of which is present on his RB16 Formula 1 car.

Running under the number 33 – of which he uses in Formula 1 – Verstappen’s livery also shows off his trademark lion logo on the roof.

Speaking with Motorsport.com, Verstappen said he was looking forward to the race.

“It’s going to be a challenge as it’s not a car I’ve driven a lot on the sim, but they are pretty cool to watch in real life. We always race with Supercars in Melbourne so it’s going to be interesting to see how I get on against all the regular drivers.

“I’ve tried the Supercar now a few times on iRacing and it’s a very tricky car to get right. I’m looking forward to racing alongside my mate Shane, or Pastor, as I call him – he’s a top shunter on the sim!

“We race online a lot together so hopefully we can do well for Red Bull and it should be a bit of fun racing against the other V8 drivers as well.”

The second round of the BP Supercars All Stars Eseries kicks off at 9pm NZT Wednesday, and will be available to watch on SKY Sport 5.
