The paint scheme for Jonny Reid and Neil Forster’s No. 1 International Motorsport Audi R8 LMS Ultra GT3 has hit the track for the first time.
Along with backing from Giltrap Group and Audi Sport, the R8 also features support from Aurora Clothing, AS Colour, Castrol Oils, and Embroidery Works.
The R8 and its two pilots tested earlier this week at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, in preparation for the opening round of the Carters Tyres South Island Endurance Series, scheduled for next weekend, September 12, at Teretonga Raceway.
It was one of two R8s testing, with Andrew Fawcett driving a plain-bodied R8. The former NZV8 racer is set to pair up with Sam Fillmore.
Next weekend’s Teretonga endurance opener triggers a busy schedule for teams entered in both the North Island and South Island categories. Round one of the Golden Homes North Island Endurance Series kicks off the following weekend at Hampton Downs.
Rounds two and three of the South Island series then take place in October at Mike Pero Motorsport Park and Timaru, respectively, before round two of the North Island series at Pukekohe Raceway on October 23–24.
