Watch: Red Bull Ampol Racing release SVG farewell video

This weekend’s Adelaide 500 marks the end of an era for New Zealand’s Shane van Gisbergen, who heads stateside next year to compete for Trackhouse Racing in a combination of each of NASCAR’s three national series.

Since making his Supercars debut for Team Kiwi Racing in 2007 at Oran Park, van Gisbergen has started an incredible 508 races, finishing on the podium 176 times, with 81 coming as wins.

The majority of those victories have come with Triple Eight Race Engineering, with whom he began competing in 2016, finishing third on debut for the team in the opening race of the Adelaide 500.

In eight years with the team, he’s secured 68 wins, three titles and three Bathurst 1000 victories.

Now all that remains are two races this weekend, with a fourth title a real possibility should he overturn a 131-point deficit to championship leader Brodie Kostecki.

Red Bull Ampol Racing and Triple Eight Race Engineering have marked the occasion with a tribute to their departing legend, condensing years of highlights into an action-packed five-minute video that you can see below.
