Triple Eight’s Broc Feeney proved unstoppable at Symmons Plains Raceway on Saturday, dominating both Race 11 and 12 of the 2025 Supercars Championship to collect maximum points—and mark his 100th career start in style.
After taking a commanding win in the earlier race, Feeney backed it up with a composed and clinical drive in Race 12, securing his second win of the day along with another fastest lap. The #88 driver now leads the championship, just.

“It was a great race,” Feeney said post-race.
“I didn’t think I’d be getting emotional towards the back end of that race, but with a few laps to go, I’m like, ‘Man, this is gonna be pretty special.’ To win both today is something I’ll remember forever.”
While Feeney celebrated at the front, the five Kiwi drivers had a mixed run in Race 12.
Andre Heimgartner looked strong early, even leading the race at one stage with James Courtney in tow. But a late pit stop and strategy shuffle saw him drop down the order, eventually finishing 15th.

Matt Payne delivered the standout result among the New Zealanders, charging to P7 after a strategic pit stop cycle and clean racing. He showed impressive pace in the latter half of the race and continues to build confidence in his second full-time season.

Jaxon Evans remained consistent throughout the day. After finishing P7 in Race 11, he backed it up with P8 in Race 12, putting together another reliable performance and adding solid points to his campaign.
Ryan Wood’s second race was compromised at Turn 1, when contact with Aaron Cameron sent the Walkinshaw Andretti United driver into a spin, dropping him to 24th. Undeterred, the 20-year-old clawed his way back up the order to finish 16th.
Richie Stanaway had the toughest run of the group. After a difficult qualifying left him starting in P23, he made contact with James Golding mid-race and briefly went off-track. He rejoined the order and ended up 22nd.

At the front, the battle for the lead came alive after the pit window opened.
Feeney and Matt Payne boxed on Lap 22, however, Feeney rejoined just ahead of Thomas Randle. A smart strategy call from the Matt Stone Racing garage saw Macauley Jones briefly lead the race after an undercut, while Nick Percat also found himself in a shock effective lead following a perfectly timed stop.

The critical moment came when Feeney muscled his way past Percat at Turn 7 to regain control of the race. From there, he pulled clear, setting the fastest lap on Lap 31 and cruising to victory by over 2.6 seconds.
Behind him, Cam Waters emerged from nowhere following a perfectly timed late pit stop, rejoining the pack to go wheel-to-wheel with Feeney before slotting into second place, just behind Randle.
Will Brown, stuck in the midfield, was left frustrated after contact with Bryce Fullwood derailed his run.
The final top 10 for Race 12 featured Feeney, Percat, Waters, Randle, Jones, Golding, Payne, Reynolds, Evans, and Le Brocq.
While the results were mixed for the Kiwi drivers, the promise shown by Payne and Evans stood out, and Wood’s fightback drive gave fans something to cheer for. Heimgartner and Stanaway will have their eyes forward for tomorrow when they’re back on the grid at 11:35AM NZT for qualifying.
