Kiwi driver Will Bamber and co-driver Elias De La Torre have made the perfect start to their 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Championship campaign, sweeping both pole positions before converting that speed into a commanding Race 1 victory at Sebring International Raceway.

Driving the No. 29 TR3 Racing Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, the pairing set the benchmark across both qualifying sessions to lock out pole for the opening two races of the season.
Bamber led the charge in the first session, overcoming an early red flag interruption to post a 2:00.093 lap — a time that proved just enough to secure top spot on the grid. When the second session rolled around, De La Torre ensured it was a clean sweep for the duo, backing up the performance with a 2:01.246 lap to secure pole for Race 2.
That pace carried seamlessly into the opening 50-minute race of the season.
Starting from pole, Bamber wasted no time asserting control, managing a clean getaway and quickly building an advantage at the front of the field. The Kiwi steadily stretched his lead through the opening stint, maintaining track position through traffic and laying the foundation for the race ahead.
At the mandatory pit stop, the TR3 Racing crew executed smoothly to keep the No. 29 machine in front, handing the car over to De La Torre without relinquishing the lead.
From there, De La Torre absorbed sustained pressure in the closing stages but remained composed, controlling the race to bring the car home for a 5.157-second victory and an early championship lead.
“Race one was a fantastic start; Elias brought it home under immense pressure,” Bamber explained.
“It’s a whole family, and it’s all for them.”

De La Torre echoed the team effort behind the result.
“Will did a great job to start; he kept us in front, and that’s crucial in Trofeo. The team gave us such a good car to go.”
The result marks a significant step forward for the pairing, who showed strong form last season but fell just short of victory at Sebring. Returning for their second year together, Bamber and De La Torre have immediately stamped themselves as early title contenders with a faultless execution across qualifying and race conditions.
With pole position secured for Race 2 as well, the duo will have a prime opportunity to continue their momentum as the opening round unfolds.
