Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Champion Brendon Leitch will join Wall Racing’s attack on the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour in 2025 as the team looks to defend their Silver class title in Australia’s International enduro.

Leitch, who was a standout star of the 2024 GT World Challenge Australia Championship, will join the returning Tony D’Alberto, Grant Denyer and car owner Adrian Deitz aboard the strikingly liveried Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 next February.

One of the most popular cars in the race each year, the team claimed the Silver class and finished 12th outright in 2024 however all involved are keen to step up further in 2025.

Team owner David Wall says that Leitch – an acknowledged Lamborghini expert – joining the program adds to their competitive chances come next February’s race.

“It’s exciting to welcome Brendon to the team alongside Adrian, Tony and Grant,” he said.

“The aim is to defend our Silver class victory, but also target a higher outright finishing position as well. We think we have the pieces in place to do so.”

Wall will focus on running the team in 2025, stepping out of the car for Leitch in a bid to further build on the growing relationship with the Italian brand – who will again supply factory-based engineering support to the program.

“With Adrian, we’re working very hard on building our relationship with Lamborghini and showcasing what we can do with them and the car, so when the opportunity to put Brendon in the car came up it was too good to pass up,” Wall added.

“He is an incredible talent and I don’t think there are many in the world who understand the Lamborghini GT3 platform better, which puts us in a really good position to get the most from the package next year.”

Consistency is key for the Lamborghini team in 2025, with D’Alberto to start his sixth consecutive 12-hour alongside Deitz, while Denyer has been a staple with the team since 2022.

“It’s really exciting to be back with Wall Racing for our sixth Bathurst 12 Hour. To be part of such a great global event at a truly special track is a privilege,” Deitz said.

“I’m thrilled that Brendon is joining the driver line up this year. While we won our class on our EVO2’s debut in the 2024 race, we haven’t been able to do as much testing or racing this year as we had planned because of my business commitments overseas.

“Brendon knows the car and has a strong working relationship with the Lamborghini Squadra Corse engineers who will once again be traveling from Italy to provide technical support for us. He’s been super impressive in GTWCA and overseas this year, our engineer Paul Forgie has been watching him closely for a while. We’re confident Brendon will help us unlock the potential that we know is in the car.

“David Wall has been very gracious in stepping out of the driver’s seat to create that opportunity. I thought his double stint in the rain in 2024 when he was battling the Euro factory drivers well inside the top ten was one of the drives of the race. I am sure his experience will be invaluable to us on the other side of the pit wall this year.

“And it’s always a pleasure to share the car with TD and Grant. Our relationship goes back a long way, we were team-mates when I first started racing and they are both terrific drivers and great mates.  We all like similar things from the car, there’s no egos and we all support each other which helps push us forward. I am looking forward to starting our test program next week.”

Leitch, racing an Audi R8 with Tim Miles, stunned in the 2024 GT World Challenge Australia season while also continuing to expand his international GT racing career.

As well as his domestic racing, Leitch contested races in the Intercontinental GT Challenge for Earl Bamber Motorsport, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the 24H Series and the Asian Le Mans Series.

Leitch also claimed victory in the Pro-Am class in the Lamborghini SuperTrofeo World Finals.

“I can’t wait, the 12-Hour wasn’t a race that was in the planning for 2025 but it’s an opportunity I can’t wait to grab,” Leitch said.

“Huge thanks to Adrian and the team for inviting me along. Racing at Bathurst for the first time this year was one of those moments I’ll remember forever, and it was one of the most fun weekends I’ve had, so to get back there and this time in the Lamborghini will be another great experience.

“To team up with Adrian, Tony and Grant is like joining up with a bunch of legends, I’ve been watching their racing for a long time!

“I’m a Lambo guy through and through and have been in their cars for four years, racing in SuperTrofeo, Asian Le Mans, Michelin Le Mans Cup and elsewhere so I know the car really well.

“I hope I can help the team build their program and work with the guys from Lamborghini to really get the full potential out of the car for everyone.”
