A rain-soaked night at Lincoln Financial Field delivered the toughest conditions of the season so far, but Cole Davies stayed composed to take the win and secure the 250SX East divisional championship.
Heavy rain turned the circuit into a true mudder, forcing riders to balance speed with survival. The main event was shortened by three minutes as conditions worsened.

The race got off to a dramatic start when Seth Hammaker grabbed the early lead before crashing in the opening rhythm section after cross-rutting, dropping him deep into the field. That opened the door for Davies to move forward quickly.
Derek Kelley led the opening laps, but Davies took over on Lap 2 and began to pull away. Even a small crash on Lap 3 didn’t cost him the lead, as he had already built a margin.
The race was then red-flagged following an incident involving Izaih Clark, bunching the field back up. Hammaker, who had been recovering, lined up 12th for the restart.
Davies again made a clean start, with Daxton Bennick and Kelley chasing. Hammaker charged through the pack, working his way back into the top three, but the time lost early proved costly.

Out front, Davies kept things tidy and managed the conditions well, stretching his advantage as the race wound down. Bennick secured second, while Hammaker finished third, just short of what he needed to take the championship fight to the final round.
Coty Schock finished fourth after coming through the Last Chance Qualifier, with Nate Thrasher recovering from an early crash to complete the top five.
Davies crossed the line more than 13 seconds clear, sealing the title alongside teammate Haiden Deegan and removing any pressure heading into Salt Lake City.
“I’ve been stressed all season,” Davies said after the race. “But I’m alright now.”
He later reflected on the result in a social media post, saying: “Years of hard work, sacrifice and determination have led to this moment. Dreamed of this moment ever since I was a little kid and never stopped believing in myself. Thankful for my family for everything they’ve sacrificed to get me to live my dream. This is only the beginning.”
