The Supercars Championship heads to New Zealand for its first-ever double header, racing in Taupō on the North Island this weekend, and Christchurch’s Ruapuna Raceway next weekend.

After a month-long wait to transport cars and equipment to NZ, drivers like Broc Feeney are raring to go for the double header, which will include six races in just an eight-day span.

Feeney has the added incentive of rebuilding his championship momentum in NZ. The 23-year-old suffered a nasty crash in the final race at last month’s Melbourne SuperSprint, knocking him out of the championship lead.

The Gold Coaster has three wins already in 2026 and 29 in his Supercars career, but is yet to score one away from Australian soil.

He will have plenty of chances over the next fortnight, as Supercars returns to NZ this week at the ITM Taupō Super 440, with the inaugural ITM Christchurch Super 440 to follow.

The popular Track to Town highlights pre-event festivities on Thursday in Taupō, where the entire 24-car Supercars field will drive from Taupō International Motorsport Park into Taupō CBD.

Fans will be able to meet the stars and see the cars of Supercars from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. NZST at the free-to-the-public event.

On-track action begins Friday with Supercars practice, followed by two 120-kilometre races on Saturday, and one 200-kilometre race on Sunday.

The driver who scores the most points across the Taupō and Christchurch events will be awarded the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy, named for beloved Kiwi driver Jason Richards, who succumbed to cancer in 2011.

Live coverage of the ITM Taupō Super 440 can be found on Kayo and Foxtel in Australia, and Sky Sport in New Zealand.

Tickets and corporate hospitality options for the ITM Taupō Super 440 can be purchased via Supercars.com and Ticketek.
