Broc Feeney will start this evening’s Supercars race at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin from the pole next to Erebus’s Brodie Kostecki.

Feeney, who provisionally qualified eighth, set the benchmark with a 1:05.9205 as the third driver to run in this afternoon’s Top 10 Shootout, which none of the following drivers could better.

Red Bull’s Will Brown starts directly behind his teammate in third, having provisionally qualified fastest. Saturday’s pole-sitter, James Golding, starts from fourth.

Jack Le Brocq and Cameron Hill lock out the third row, with Will Davison the first Mustang in seventh, next to Tim Slade.

Anton De Pasquale and Cooper Murray complete the top ten.

No Kiwis featured in the Top 10 Shootout, with Matt Payne qualifying as the fastest for 11th in the earlier timed session. Andre Heimgartner starts 12th, ahead of Richie Stanaway in 15th, Jaxon Evans in 16th, and Ryan Wood in 24th.

De Pasquale opened the Top 10 Shootout with a 1:06.5490, which was immediately overcome by Hill’s 1:06.3222.

Saturday’s race winner, Feeney, then leapt to the top with a 1:05.9205.

Jack Le Brocq could not improve on this and lost a place to the Red Bull entry, as was James Golding, who bettered the Erebus driver to sit second provisionally.

Murray set a 1:06.8490 on his lap to sit sixth after six runs, with Feeney still in the lead and four drivers to go.

Davison also lost places on his run, dropping from a provisional fourth to a net fifth, with Slade, Kostecki, and Slade still to run.

Slade also fell down to split the two Shell V-Power entries in sixth.

Kostecki was unable to better Feeney’s time and fell a place to second, but he gained that position back ahead of provisional pole-sitter Brown, whose 1:06.0687 was third fastest.

This evening’s Supercars race begins at 5.40 pm NZST.
