In addition to regular championship competitors Daniel Frougas and Tim Berryman – currently sitting third in the Silver-Am Cup Drivers and Tony Quinn – sharing with Daniel Gaunt for this final round, no fewer than three additional cars out of New Zealand will join the championship for its final round.

New Zealand GT championship regular Allan Sargeant will race his Racelab-run Supra and will bring a wealth of circuit knowledge to what will be his Australian championship debut.

A second Racelab entry will see Kiwis Shaun Varney and Glen Chappel also make their series debut.

The pair will pilot their Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 together in the Am class in what will also be Varney’s maiden appearance with the team.

Experienced Australian racer Jeremy Gray – father of rising Super 2 star and former New Zealand 2023 Toyota 86 Rookie Champion Rylan Gray – will drive a fifth Supra.

He will be partnered by another former Toyota 86 Championship racer – Tayler Bryant – in a car prepared by Action Motorsport.

Testing gets underway today (Thursday) for a season finale expected to feature a 25-car grid, with Toyota, BMW, and Ford each fielding five vehicles.

McLaren, Mercedes, Audi, and Porsche will also be represented in the centrepiece of the opening round of the 2025-2026 Repco NextGen NZ Championship.

The big weekend of racing at the North Waikato track will also see the opening round of the Bridgestone GR86 Championship.
