The North Island Endurance Racing Drivers Club (NIERDC) has announced a revised calendar for this season.

Both events will be based in Auckland, with the season starting at the Hampton Downs Motorsport Park on September 18 and concluding at Pukekohe Park Raceway on October 24.

This was done so that teams who have the necessary budget can partake in the MSNZ Endurance Race Championship which will take place at the Highlands Motorsport Park on November 6-7.

The series was reduced to two rounds due to the situation regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

We are pleased to announce our revised NIERDC Endurance Racing calendar for this year, which will see us run one less event than we would normally run as well as having to shift those dates into September and October, said David Dovey, President of NIERDC.

The clubs committee constructed the calendar so that any potential clashes with SIERDC events, or any other major events, were avoided.

The series has also been working with supporters – Michelin and Harris Race Radios – to ensure they have sufficient resources to support both the NIERDC and SIERDC series.

Car eligibility has also been opened up to cars such as SCCA-complying Trans-Am, and TA2-complying cars.
