Rising Super2 talent Ayrton Hodson is ready to turn the tide on his 2025 season as he heads into the Supercars Ipswich 440 this weekend with renewed momentum and valuable insights under his belt.
After a promising start to the season in Sydney, Hodson has battled through mechanical setbacks in both the Tasmania and Townsville rounds.

However, the focus has shifted from frustration to determination, as the 20-year-old driver looks to capitalise on a recent test day at Queensland Raceway.
The turning point came earlier this week when Hodson had the rare opportunity to share the car with Supercars veteran Will Davison.
Davison’s brief stint behind the wheel helped quickly identify key setup issues that had been hampering performance, offering a much-needed boost to the team’s confidence.
“Having someone of Will’s experience step into the car and pinpoint things so quickly was a real eye-opener,” said Hodson.

“It’s my first season in this car, so every lap is a learning experience. Will’s feedback was incredibly valuable and has helped fast-track our understanding of what the car needs.”
Adding to the momentum, Hodson also turned laps in a historic Stone Brothers Racing car on Monday with MSR, gaining further seat time and sharpening his skills ahead of the weekend.
This weekend also carries extra meaning off the track, as the team welcomes a number of businesses that support Journey 2 Learn, the team’s chosen charity.
Their presence at the Ipswich 440 not only highlights the importance of giving back but also reinforces the strong community spirit surrounding the team’s racing efforts.
“We’re incredibly proud to be aligned with Journey 2 Learn and grateful to have some of their key supporters trackside with us this weekend,” Hodson said.
“It’s a great reminder of the bigger picture and the positive impact motorsport can have beyond racing.”
With a clearer understanding of the car, the guidance of experienced voices, and a strong support network behind him, Hodson enters the Ipswich 440 with a revitalised mindset and sights set on a strong result.
“The last few rounds have been tough, but we’ve learned a lot. I’m excited to put that into practice this weekend and show what we’re capable of.”
