Bryn Jones will return to the tarmac later this month when he contests the Ponte de Lima Rally on 24 May, using the event as preparation for the next round of the Peugeot Rally Cup Portugal at Rally de Lisboa the following weekend.

After focusing mainly on gravel so far this season, the rally will give Jones a valuable opportunity to get more seat time on sealed roads before heading to Lisbon for round two of the championship.
Jones is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel on the tarmac after showing strong pace on the surface at Rali da Agua last year.
“Great opportunity to be competing on tarmac again as we build up for the next round of the Peugeot Rally Cup in Lisbon,” said Jones.
“It will be nice to get out and have a test run and get used to the car again before the big event. It’s been a while since we competed on tarmac at Rali da Agua last September, where we proved what we can do, so hopefully we can build on that pace again”
It will mark a change inside the car for the rally, with regular co-driver Max Freeman unavailable due to other commitments. Stepping alongside Jones will be his sister, Zoe Jones, who is set to make her international rally debut.
“It’s great to have Zoe back in the car again – our first rally together for seven years,” he added.
“We had some good results in the past, and this gives her a taste of the Portuguese roads as well.”
The Ponte de Lima Rally will serve as Jones’ final outing before Rally de Lisboa, where he will continue his campaign in the Peugeot Rally Cup Portugal.
