Kiwi Porsche Carrera Cup North America stars Ryan Yardley and Madeline Stewart are in for a rare European outing as they participate in the Porsche 992 Endurance Cup at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps this weekend.

The 12-hour race at the famed Belgian circuit is exclusively for Porsche’s 992-generation 911 GT3 Cup car and has attracted close to 100 drivers split across 30 entries.

Yardley, who currently sits third in the points in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America standings, will compete in one of three Mühlner Motorsport entries alongside American drivers Anthony McIntosh, Glenn McGee, and Tyler Hoffman. The quartet will drive the number 21 in the AM class.

McIntosh and McGee are former AM champions in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America champions.

Stewart will compete in the number 90 MRS GT Racing with Therese Lahlouh, Nicolas Romano and Alex Sedgewick, who is currently second in the North American series.

MRS GT Racing is also fielding three teams, with the #90 team in the Pro/AM class.

Over 20 nations across four continents are represented on the grid, including several overall Nürburgring 24 Hours and 24H DUBAI winners, as well as some of the finest talent across Porsche’s one-make Carrera Cups, Sprint Challenges, and Sports Cups in Europe, Asia, and North and South America.

Six further teams have registered at least two Porsches for the event, including seven-time Nürburgring 24 Hours winner and Mobil 1 Supercup Teams’ champion Manthey Racing, reigning Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux champion Belgium Racing Team, two-time Nürburgring 24 Hours winner and five-time victor of the 24H DUBAI Black Falcon, and Max Kruse Racing, the squad of German international footballer Max Kruse and TCR specialist Benjamin Leuchter.

Official practice at Spa-Francorchamps begins this evening, followed by qualifying at 5:05 am on Saturday.

The 992 Endurance Cup runs from 7.45 pm NZST on Saturday until 7.45 am the following day.

Racing can be watched live and free on the 24H Series YouTube channel.
