Ayrton Hodson Joins Super V8 NZ Series for Supercars Taupō Round with Roberts Racing After Impressive Super2 Debut.
Rising Kiwi motorsport star Ayrton Hodson will take on the Super V8 NZ Series at the upcoming Supercars Taupō round, racing for Roberts Racing in John Roberts’ TA2 Chevrolet Camaro.
This marks Hodson’s debut in the Super V8 NZ Series and follows hot on the heels of his standout performance in the Super2 Championship earlier this season.
Hodson’s entry into the Super V8 NZ Series comes after an eye-catching Super2 debut at Sydney Motorsport Park, where he impressed with his composure under pressure, competitive pace, and strong top-ten finish in a highly competitive field.
“Joining Roberts Racing for the Taupō round is an awesome opportunity and gives me time in the seat to work on a few things before we head to Tassie for Round 2,” said Hodson.
“I’m expecting some good, hard racing, and doing that in front of a home crowd is going to be epic. Every drive is an opportunity to learn, and that’s what I hope to do in the Camaro.”
The move to the Super V8 NZ Series is a natural progression as he continues to build momentum in his racing career.
