Brodie Kostecki will start on pole for both of today’s Supercars races at Symmons Plains having topped both of this afternoon’s qualifying sessions.

In the first of the two runs the championship leader put in a track record of 50.8335, topping Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Broc Feeney by just .0029 seconds. Will Brown backed up yesterday’s race win to qualify third and will start next to Jack Le Brocq on the second row in Race 11.

Rookie Cameron Hill continues to impress in Tasmania, going fifth fastest and will start off the third row next to James Golding.

Will Davison made up for yesterday’s impeding penalty to qualify eighth, while Thomas Randle, David Reynolds and Cam Waters round out the top 10.

Shane van Gisbergen is the highest-placed Kiwi on the grid for Race 11 where he’ll start 11th, while Matt Payne qualified 18th and Andre Heimgartner 21st.

Kostecki went on to better his record time once again in Race 12 qualifying, his 50.6218-second lap pipping teammate Brown by .0183 seconds, making for an Erebus Racing front-row lockout.

Waters improved to third for Race 12, while Le Brocq was again fourth with less than one-tenth separating the top four in an extremely tight run.

Tim Slade starts fifth in Race 12, next to Feeney with Hill again impressing for seventh and Randle for eighth.

All three Kiwis improved slightly in Race 12 qualifying, van Gisbergen going ninth fastest, ahead of Payne in 12th and Heimgartner in 15th.

Race 11 begins at 3.05 pm and Race 12 begins at 5.50 pm. Both will be shown live on Sky Sport 5.
