Reports are emerging that Supercars technical wizard Ludo Lacroix will stay on with the team for the 2021 season.
According to Motorsport.com, a DJR team spokesperson has confirmed that Lacroix will remain with the squad, retaining the technical leadership role he currently occupies.
The reports could end suggestions that Lacroix will be on the move next season, following on from the exits of Team Penske and his star driver Scott McLaughlin.
He initially joined the team back in 2017, ending a 17 year tenure with pitlane rivals Triple Eight Race Engineering. But he was unceremoniously stood down by team principal Roland Dane when he made the shock announcement midway through the season that he would be leaving for DJR Team Penske.
Lacroix was the mastermind behind McLaughlin’s success in the No.17, which included three drivers’ championships and a coveted Bathurst 1000 victory.
The Frenchman was also a central figure in the development of the Ford Mustang package which has gone on to dominate the sport.
Today, DJR announced the look of its 2021 driver line-up with Anton de Pasquale and Will Davison taking over the reins from Kiwi duo McLaughlin and Fabian Coulthard.
