It’s a race weekend!

The Xfinity Series, IMSA’s Battle on the Bricks, Porsche Carrera Cup North America, and the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, racing in support of the Singapore Grand Prix.

There’s plenty to watch over the next few days, with several Kiwis competing in top-class racing around the world!

Shane van Gisbergen: Xfinity Series

  • Where? Bristol Motor Speedway, Tennessee
  • NZ Times:
    • Qualifying: Saturday 6.40 am
    • Race: Saturday 11.30 am
  • How to watch: Three Now (race only)

The Xfinity Series regular season wraps up at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend with two playoff spaces still up for grabs.

Shane van Gisbergen has already secured his ticket to post-season racing through his three road course wins but is looking to improve on his position of 12th in the standings with a strong debut on the famed short oval.

Tom Blomqvist, Hunter McElrea & Brendon Leitch: IMSA Battle on the Bricks

  • Where? Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course
  • NZ Times:
    • Qualifying: Sunday 7.40 am
    • Race: Monday 3.40 am- 9.40 am
  • How to watch: Sky Sport (Race only)

Tom Blomqvist, Hunter McElrea and Brendon Leitch are competing in IMSA’s 6-hour enduro on the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course this weekend.

Blomqvist joins Pipo Derani and Jack Aitken at Whelan Cadillac Racing in the GTP (Hypercar) class.

McElrea returns to TDS Racing in the LMP2 class with Steven Thomas and Mikkel Jenson, while Leitch partners Kerong Li and Anders Fjordbach in MDK Motorsports’ #86 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Marco Giltrap: Porsche Carrera Cup Asia

  • Where? Marina Bay Street Circuit, Singapore
  • NZ Times:
    • Qualifying: Saturday 5.50 pm
    • Race 1: Saturday 8.10 pm
    • Race 2: Sunday 8.40 pm
  • How to watch: Free live stream

Marco Giltap will be in action in the Team Porsche New Zealand and Earl Bamber Motorsport entry as the Carrera Cup races in support of the Singapore Grand Prix on the Marina Bay Street Circuit

Giltrap is only running a part time campaign in the Carrera Cup Asia and is out of championship contention.

Ryan Yardley & Madeline Stewart: Porsche Carrera Cup North America

    • Race 1: Saturday 7.00 am
    • Race 2: Sunday 3.10 am

Fresh off their respective 992 Endurance Cup outings at Spa, Ryan Yardley and Madeline Stewart are back in business in the Carrera Cup North America, racing in support of IMSA’s Battle on the Bricks.

Yardley enters the round third in the standings and only 71 points off the top spot, while Stewart is buoyed by a strong run of form that has seen her finish in the points in three of her past five races.
