The Nürburgring has reportedly been axed from next week’s fifth round of the BP Supercars All Star Eseries,
Next Wednesday’s event was meant to see the field contest races split across Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and the Nürburgring Grand Prix layout.
But according to motorsport.com, organisers of the Eseries have instead decided to implement the same format used at Bathurst in round three, having three races and a top-ten shootout across just one circuit.
In this case, it seems Spa has got the go ahead over the famed German venue.
There will be two eight-lap races followed by a 14-lap feature event. The second of the two sprint races is expected to remain as a full-grid-reverse.
The event is slated to begin on Wednesday May 6 from 8 pm NZT and will be broadcasted on Sky Sport and the Supercars Facebook page.
