Porsche announces NZ Taycan pricing and specs

Local pricing and specification for the Porsche Taycan has been announced, with dealers now taking orders for Porsche’s first all-electric sports car.

The models available include the 4S, the Turbo, and the Turbo S. The 4S produces up to 390kW (530hp) 640Nm of torque, coupled with a two-speed transmission and powered by a 79.2kWh Performance Battery. The 4S completes the 0 to 100km/h dash in 4.0 seconds and tops out at 250km/h. Porsche claims the range is 365km when the battery is fully charged and will be priced from $NZ203,900.

The Performance Battery Plus package on the 4S is available as an option. It increases battery capacity to 93.4 kWh resulting in a notable performance increase of up to 420kW (571hp) and 650 Nm of torque, as well as a claimed range of 414 km when the battery is fully charged.

The Turbo generates up to 500kW (680hp) of overboost power and in combination with Launch Control can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds with a range of 420km. The Turbo S pumps out 560kW (761hp) and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. It has a range of 405 km when the battery is fully charged. The Turbo and Turbo S will be priced from $NZ289,900 and $NZ366,900, respectively.

All three models will be equipped with Surround View, Comfort Access, Lane Change Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, front seat ventilation, steering wheel heating, rear side airbags, electrically folding exterior mirrors, digital radio and privacy glazing, as standard.

Additional standard equipment for the 4S includes 20-inch Taycan Sport Aero wheels, metallic paint, front seat heating, 14-way electric comfort seats, Auto-dimming mirrors as well as the BOSE Surround Sound system. Furthermore, the Turbo and Turbo S will also gain driving dynamic and comfort features like Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) Sport, four-zone Advanced Climate Control and ambient lighting.
