New Zealand-based team Prime Speed Sport will make their Asian Le Mans Series debut in a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2.

Located at Hampton Downs and Taupo Motorsport Park, Prime Speed Sport has experienced local success with multiple titles in GT4 and Porsche Cup class racing, as well as class podiums at both the Sepang & Misano 12 hours events.

This Asian Le Mans Series campaign marks an exciting step in the team’s wider international program as they prepare for an expanded effort in Europe throughout 2025, in conjunction with their New Zealand-based racing activities.

The team has confirmed Australian Nick Foster, Kiwi Jono Lester and French-Kiwi Mana Malmezac will share the car for the six four-hour races.

Foster is an Australian FIA gold-rated driver with experience not only in Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) but with experience in the World Endurance Championship. In addition to being an Australian Porsche Carrera Cup Champion, he has been a podium finisher in every championship he has entered.

Lester is a third-generation FIA silver-rated racer from a family with over 50 years of experience in motorsport. A former Porsche Junior, he has built an impressive career spanning over two decades, competing and winning on the global stage in various high-calibre machinery.

Malmezac, a French-Kiwi driver in just his third season of car racing, has already achieved great success. He has secured podium finishes in both of his international race starts, and has become class champion in the New Zealand North and South Island Endurance Racing Series. He is the team’s FIA bronze-rated driver for the season.

Prime Speed Sport have confirmed a Kiwi-based team will travel to each meet.

Fourty-two entries have been confirmed for the 2024/25 season, which gets underway at Sepang in Malaysia on December 7. Round 2 follows at the same venue 24 hours later.

Other Kiwis featuring on the provisional entry list include three-time Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Champion Chris Van der Drift, who will get behind the wheel of a Ferrari 296 GT3 with Absolut Racing.

Steve Brooks, Brendon Leitch, and Daniel Gaunt are also included in the provisional entry list.
