Team MotorSport New Zealand powered by Giltrap Group Motorsport returns for expanded Four-Nations Esport Cup

MotorSport New Zealand is proud to confirm the return of Team MotorSport New Zealand for the 2025 edition of the newly expanded Four-Nations Esport Cup.

Formerly known as the Tri-Nations Esports Cup, the popular international sim racing competition has welcomed South Africa into the fold, turning up the intensity with a classic four-way rivalry between New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the new challengers from South Africa.

Backing Team MotorSport New Zealand again is Giltrap Group Motorsport, a long-time supporter of Kiwi motorsport talent. Their continued support underlines the growing stature of sim racing as a platform for driver development, national pride and fan engagement.

“Helping kiwi race drivers to fly on the world stage is embedded in our Group’s DNA, so we’re delighted to be supporting Team Motorsport New Zealand in the Four Nations Esports Cup,” said Hamish Miller, Head of Giltrap Group Motorsport.

“We also have a proud history with the iconic McLaren brand, so seeing our sim racers taking on Australia, the United Kingdom and South Africa in McLaren 720s made this an easy decision. Go New Zealand!”

Ten of the country’s top sim-racers selected from pre-qualifying events will form Team MotorSport New Zealand, and take on the best from the UK, Australia and South Africa in the main event on 3 August.

Drivers will battle it out in identical McLaren 720S GT3 EVO cars using the iRacing platform across two 30-minute races, one at the legendary Silverstone circuit and one at the unforgiving Mount Panorama, Bathurst.

The Four-Nations Esport Cup will be broadcast live and free for fans to see Team MotorSport New Zealand powered by Giltrap Group Motorsport as they go head-to-head with the world’s best.
