Thunder Ridge Motorsport Park has confirmed a second stage of garages after huge demand nearly sold out its initial Foundation Garage offering to the New Zealand motorsport community.

A limited number of two-story Premium garages have been confirmed, and an initial offering to existing Foundation garage owners saw several upgrades. That means there are both Premium garages remaining and a small number of Foundation garages, following customers’ upgrades.
The Premium garages are larger than the initial Foundation garages, measuring 15 x 7 metres (105 sqm) and including a mezzanine floor, office space, a kitchenette, and a viewing balcony overlooking the track.
“It is entirely due to public demand that we have introduced these Premium garages, but with their size and location there is obviously only space for a limited number,” said Thunder Ridge Trustee Tony Roberts.
As an added bonus for potential buyers, if the remaining Premium garages and Foundation garages are sold before work on the circuit itself begins – the track layout itself is now finalised, and geotech results are being analysed, and discussions are being held with contractors– owners will still be offered the same benefits that the circuit’s initial Foundation members were.
“Those purchasers will enjoy the lifetime benefits of a package that includes 99 years of free access to 45 practice days on the circuit each year, advertising on the pit wall, and their name on the circuit’s permanent Roll of Honour board.”
The Premium garages will be priced at a highly competitive $525,000 plus GST and can be secured for an initial deposit of $10,000 plus GST.
“And we do want to make purchase as easy as possible”, added Roberts.
“Payments for the garages can be spread over the construction period, and it is possible to combine with others to share the cost.”
Earthworks will begin early next year, after which circuit construction will start. The first cars should take to the circuit in 2028 – as planned.
There are no body corporate fees, and the only charges for customers beyond the garages themselves will be electricity and maintenance charges. A member’s garage lease can stay in the family for generations or be sold and transferred through Thunder Ridge management, and you keep any capital gain.
