The penultimate round of the 2025 Eurocup-3 season saw Tony Quinn Foundation Ambassador Zack Scoular make his first appearance at Circuito de Jerez in Spain, gaining more valuable experience in his rookie campaign.

Scoular got his first laps of the circuit in Friday’s testing, with two sessions to get acclimatised before the official action began. He logged 15 laps in the opener, his best effort a 1:39.936 at the end to finish just outside the Top 20. In the second run, with track temperatures rising, times slowed slightly.
Scoular clocked a 1:40.542 on his final lap, finishing 21st with another 11 laps of valuable mileage.
Saturday began with the 40-minute Free Practice, where Scoular showed strong improvement. He completed 14 laps and dropped into the low 1:39s, his 1:39.105 another step forward, leaving him close to breaking into the Top 20.
Qualifying 1 followed, and while the outright one-lap speed still wasn’t quite there, Scoular was only a few tenths shy of the Top 20. His best lap of 1:39.866 placed him 23rd, sandwiched between Palou Motorsport teammates Alceu Feldmann and Isaac Barashi.
In the opening race, Scoular lined up on Row 12 and made a clean getaway, staying clear of the start-line drama ahead. He gained a couple of spots in the first sector before a Safety Car was deployed for a stranded car.

On the restart, he ran 21st, right behind Feldmann, and quickly made a move on his teammate to crack the Top 20. That set up a chase of Barashi, though he soon came under pressure from Kacper Sztuka, who slipped by both Scoular and Barashi.
Scoular then settled into a rhythm, running between his teammates. With eight minutes remaining, Ernesto Rivera retired, lifting him back into the Top 20, where he stayed until the flag, finishing 20th after half an hour of racing. A tidy way to kick things off.
The second qualifying session on Sunday morning showed further progress. Scoular opened with a 1:39.016 before hooking up all three sectors on his final push to clock a 1:38.738, his personal best of the weekend.
It was enough for 23rd on the grid, again splitting his teammates, this time ahead of Barashi and behind Feldmann.
Race 2 saw Scoular make another sharp launch, immediately moving past Feldmann off the line before applying pressure on Lorenzo Castillo. He cleared the Mexican in the final sector of Lap 1 to run 21st.
Pushing on, he then closed on teammate Lenny Reid, but a small off-track moment as he attacked dropped him back to 23rd, behind Feldmann again. He soon regained a place when Alexander Abkhazava fell back, and later benefited from retirements to cross the line in 21st after a consistent drive.
It was another weekend of valuable progress and learning for Scoular, showing clear improvement with his pace and execution. While the results are still shy of where he wants to be, the gains are there.
Eurocup-3 now pauses for two months before returning for the season finale at Barcelona in mid-November, where Scoular will look to round out his rookie season in Europe on a strong note.
