Kiwi driver Will Bamber has delivered a perfect start to the 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season, completing a commanding double victory at Sebring International Raceway alongside co-driver Elias De La Torre.

After already securing pole position and converting it into a Race 1 win, the TR3 Racing duo backed it up in style in Race 2—this time overcoming interruptions, strategy swings, and late-race pressure to seal a clean weekend sweep in the Pro class.
The second 50-minute encounter proved far more chaotic than the opener, with early incidents forcing lengthy running behind the safety car. That disruption delayed the mandatory pit window and reshaped team strategies across the field, placing greater emphasis on execution during the condensed green-flag running that followed.
Starting the race, De La Torre controlled proceedings at the front before diving into the pits at the first opportunity once the revised window opened. A sharp stop from the TR3 Racing crew handed the car to Bamber in a strong position, but the Kiwi still had work to do as the field cycled through varying strategies.
With rivals attempting to stretch their stints, Bamber wasted no time asserting himself. A decisive charge on his out lap brought him into contention, before a bold and committed move into Turn 1 with just over 10 minutes remaining proved the race-defining moment. Carrying speed through the corner and exiting cleanly, he emerged in front and never looked back.
From there, Bamber controlled the closing stages, managing the gap and traffic to secure victory by just under two seconds—completing a flawless weekend that underlined both his pace and racecraft.
The result marked a second consecutive win for the Bamber–De La Torre pairing, who leave Sebring as the early championship leaders after maximising every opportunity across the opening round.
Behind them, the battle for the remaining podium positions produced plenty of action, while other classes also saw repeat winners and fresh faces step up across the weekend.
With momentum firmly on their side, Bamber and De La Torre now turn their attention to the next round at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, where they will look to extend their early advantage in the championship.
