Cadillac’s No. 31 entry will start from the front of the grid for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s 12 Hours of Sebring after a composed and clinical qualifying effort from Jack Aitken, alongside co-drivers Earl Bamber and Frederik Vesti.

Aitken delivered the decisive lap in a tightly contested GTP session, putting the Action Express Racing-run Cadillac at the head of the field for one of endurance racing’s most demanding events. Managing evolving track conditions and tyre performance, he produced a benchmark time that proved just enough to secure pole position.
The result continues Cadillac’s strong form at Sebring and underlines the strength of the driver line-up, with Bamber’s endurance pedigree and Vesti’s rising profile complementing Aitken’s qualifying execution.
Joining them on the front row will be fellow Kiwi Scott Dixon, who qualified second in the Acura Meyer Shank Racing entry alongside co-drivers Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist. Dixon’s effort ensures a New Zealand presence on the front row, adding further intrigue to the start of the Sebring classic.
Further down the field in the LMP2 ranks, another Kiwi will be in action, with Hunter McElrea and his co-drivers Phil Fayer and Mikkel Jensen qualifying eighth in class. The trio will be looking to make forward progress across the 12-hour endurance test.
With pole position secured, Aitken, Bamber and Vesti now shift focus to race execution, where traffic management, strategy and reliability will be critical. Starting from the front offers a clear advantage, but with a highly competitive field behind them—including Dixon’s front-row challenge—the battle for victory at Sebring is set to be intense from the outset.
