The New Zealand charge is well and truly on at Sydney Motorsport Park as Round 2 of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Australia roars into life — and the Kiwis are making their presence known.
Leading the charge is Earl Bamber Motorsport rookie sensation Tom Bewley, who has been in blistering form since the first green flag. The teenager topped both practice sessions on Friday, shaving an impressive 1.6 seconds off his time between runs. But he wasn’t done there — in qualifying, Bewley went one better, storming to pole position for Race 1 with a stunning lap of 1:29.5256, slicing another 0.35s off his FP2 benchmark.

Coming off a podium finish in his debut round at Phillip Island, Bewley sits second in the championship, just 12 points behind fellow Kiwi William Exton — setting up a mouthwatering inter-Kiwi rivalry for the title.
Exton, the Round 1 dominator with a double win for TekworkX Motorsport, had a steadier start to his Sydney campaign, finishing 4th and 6th in the practice sessions. He’ll start Race 1 from 9th on the grid, 0.866s off Bewley’s pole time, and will be looking to fight forward when the lights go out.

Jackson Rooney and Hunter Robb are adding more Kiwi firepower to the grid, both showing solid pace and racecraft.
Rooney, also with TekworkX Motorsport, ended practice 7th and 16th, though the latter was hindered by minimal track time due to mechanical issues.

He rebounded in qualifying to snatch P10, lining up alongside Exton for tomorrow’s showdown. Rooney sits 9th in the championship after three top-10 finishes at Phillip Island.
Jones Motorsport’s Hunter Robb was quietly consistent through the day, finishing 10th and 11th in practice before qualifying P11 out of 24 cars — just outside the top 10. With a podium already under his belt from Round 1, Robb currently holds 8th in the standings. He will be aiming to climb even higher under the lights in Sydney.

Don’t miss it — Race 1 goes green at 2:55 PM NZT tomorrow with Race 2 scheduled for 7.55pm. Both races will be streaming live on YouTube. With four fast Kiwis in the mix and a title fight heating up, it’s shaping up to be an unmissable night of Porsche racing!
