Race 1
Hedge started Race 1 in fourth, with championship rival Tyler Maxson starting on pole. The Kiwi was able to get away cleanly through the first stage of the race to hold position, but soon came under pressure from fifth place.
As the race progressed, Hedge fell out of the top three and began to run his own race in fourth. Meanwhile, out front, Maxson had pulled away from Janne Stiak, and Aaron Jeansomme.
At the half way distance, it was clear the race sat with the top three as Hedge sat nine seconds back from Maxson, and half a second ahead of Paul Bocuse. The batt\le sat firmly at the front, with Maxson, Stiak, and Jeansomme seperated by two seconds with time ticking down.
With less than ten minutes left, Hedge fell into the clutches of Jared Thomas. Less than three tenths seperated them in the closing minutes, meaning Hedge could not rest as the race counted down.
In the dying minutes, Thomas had worked his way past Hedge. Unfortunately, on the final lap, Hedge ran into the back of Thomas, sending the #96 around and resulting in a penalty which left the Kiwi eleventh in the Pro class, and sixteenth overall.
Race 2
Hedge once again started fourth and was able to tuck into third quickly, and sat just behind Stiak through the initial stages. Jeansomme and Stiak soon managed to pull away, leaving Hedge in the clutches of Thomas and Maxsom.
The Kiwi was able to hold his own to pull away from the duo, with Thomas and Maxson caught in a ding-dong battle through the middle stages of the race. This allowed Hedge to extend the gap to four seconds at the halfway mark.
This gave Hedge significant clear air in front and behind. The Kiwi was able to utilise his speed to keep the gap growing as the race ticked on. Thomas was able to fend off the pressure from Maxson with ten minutes to go, but the championship leader was able to make another attack in the final minutes of the race.
With a nine-second gap to the leaders and over seven seconds behind, Hedge was able to cruise his way to another podium for his 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup North America season.
Hedge remains in third position overall in the championship, five points ahead of Janne Stiak in fourth, with the penultimate round taking place on September 30th.
