Matthew Payne and Callum Hedge have both taken top ten results in the final Porsche Carrera Cup race of the weekend at Bathurst.
After races plagued by safety cars all weekend, the final Porsche Carrea Cup race was run without it making an appearance.
Through the race, Payne moved up a place from his starting positions to cross the line in fourth.
Through the second half of the race Hedge was able to gain two positions, to cross the line in eighth, despite a large lockup heading into the chase on the second last lap.
Craig Lowndes who had been running solidly inside the top ten slowed coming down conrod straight, on lap 5 with a rear tyre issue, a lap later Cameron Hill also pulled into pit lane with a tyre issue.
Hill had been running in the top five, when he had the issue, which saw Payne move into fourth, with a few laps to go.
With just two laps to go, Marc Cini pulled into an escape road on mountain straight, far enough off track to ensure the safety car wasn’t called out.
Madeline Stewart started the final race in 20th, consistently setting times that were on par or better than those around her, which saw her move up to 18th by the end of the race.
